I know what it feels like
to be afraid to use your voice

but life is too short
to spend it hiding

I wasn’t always a WOW Speaker.

I used to break out in hives before presentations.

Not butterflies. Actual hives.

My face would get red. My voice would shake. My heart would race.

And the hardest part wasn’t just the nerves—it was the story I created about what those nerves meant.

I thought people would see my anxiety and assume I wasn’t confident, capable, or ready to lead.

The funny thing?

I was confident in one-on-one conversations. I knew my work. I knew my material.

But put me in front of a group, and suddenly I felt like a different person.

Eventually, I realized the problem wasn’t that I needed to become a “better speaker.”

The deeper work was learning to trust myself.

After overcoming my fear of public speaking, I dedicated my career to helping others do the same.

Communication isn’t
a performance.

It’s a connection.

For decades, communication training has focused on the external:

  • Speak louder.
  • Look more confident.
  • Improve your body language.
  • Perfect your presentation skills.

And yes—those things matter.

But they don’t answer the deeper question:

Why do some people command a room even when they aren’t the most polished speaker?

Because communication is not just about delivery.

It's about connection.

This is one of the best investments I have ever made for myself!

— Mahlet T.

Once I realized I could no longer hide from public speaking (and that speaking was the only way to make an impact), I started investing my time and energy into understanding what was holding me back and how to use what I was learning to make effective, lasting changes.

My biggest hurdle wasn’t learning the practical how-tos but understanding how to manage my mindset and be okay with not looking perfect.

Once I got my mind right, I could work on the mechanics side of speaking (like pausing, frameworks, storytelling).

Acquiring those tools in my toolkit was the icing on the cake!

Are you ready to WOW ?

One day after a big speaking event, I remember looking in the mirror in the bathroom afterward and thinking, “WOW – I crushed that.” Then, later, a colleague approached me and said, “Wow, you’re a great speaker!”

I want that for YOU.

I want you to feel like, “WOW, I do have the confidence to get up here in front of 200 people,” or “WOW, I can command the room at work.

And then, of course, get that WOW response from your audience!

But most importantly, I want you to WOW yourself.
